Those who are offended by the cartoon and took to the streets in protest should once and for all disclose their interpretation of the word ‘racist’. The traditionally held meaning, denoted in the English dictionary appears to be undergoing a evolution. The new definition has not been made clear, but we do know – one of its many uses: to veto any challenge to the infallibility of black ANC politicians. Another use of the tactical blackmail, found in the general black population, is to dismiss any notion of accountability for hideous behavior.
The cartoon which depicts the newly sworn cabinet members as clowns and its voting fodder as ‘poephols’ is a very lenient observation to make. More accurately, euphemistic. However the connection between ‘racism’ and the cartoon cannot logically be made. Voting fodder must fully absorb what it means to live in a democratic society. Tribal politics simply cannot be accommodated in secular society. The firm commitment to the absolute blind faith absolutely syndrome, reminiscent of the Shaka Zulu era, must therefore be finally and unreservedly renounced.
It is pitiful that EWN has already capitulated to bullying tactics, and what’s more, without any sign of a fight. Furthermore, no thinking individual can take the appointed members of parliament seriously when it is so blatantly obvious that the positions are awarded by the precepts of nepotism and a ANC spoils system.
A working clown at least makes an honest living in a legitimate profession. Cabinet members of the ANC formally constitute an assembly of ordained criminals. Sworn in to serve as a parasitic fiefdom at the overwhelming expense of dignity and honor. And these are the very two words that the assembled find themselves repeating, perhaps to alter the thick atmosphere of puerile greed mongering and related infantile bickering.
It is perfectly rational to question the convictions of those who collaborate so happily and defiantly in the empowerment of sanctioned criminals. Those who do so open themselves up to ridicule and rightly so.
I’m afraid these folk will have to put up with being offended and should embrace for more of the same.
