What does a white South African make of Julias Malema. It is plain to any thinking person that the said entity constitutes a street thug and can’t be taken seriously. So why is it that he is not only taken seriously, (and worse still, has come to take himself seriously) but has become a political force of reckoning? There is only one credible diagnosis. The rise of a street thug to any position of authority is a symptom of African intellectual incompetence and racial insecurity. Indeed, only in the province of liberation from phantom oppressors do African leaders kindle any legitimacy or muster any agreement among its ranks. This is why it is so important to harness the threat of that great and oppressive white settler and maintain its longevity in black consciousness.
Malema is a testimony to the power of nepotism that triumphs over all reason, but also to an inherent reactive bigotry that has found its mouth piece. A primitive mammal that divides the moral and political universe into two distinct partitions. White, colonial and non-white, colonial. From these partitions all questions pertaining to human affairs and the workings of a state are conferred and absolutist judgements drawn. If the malignant primate in question is the leader we deserve, we are a nation to be most pitied. It’s not as if there is any need for Malema to be unmasked, he openly and loudly expresses a penchant for the totalitarian as oft spouting praise for Robert Mugaba’s gangsterism. He left us no doubt of his dire need for domestication and restraints when during a verbal scuffle with a English journalist, he furnished us a glimpse into the inner sewers of his mind.
In a more civilized nation, such a demagogic goon would be confined to an institution for the criminally insane, that’s if his diatribes were somehow leaked into the public sphere, or he would simply go unnoticed among the prison populace. Here in Africa, they manage to creep into an office of power and propagate racist paranoia. It’s not as though there isn’t any truth to select rantings of the quivering loud-mouth, that’s when he is able to deliver a coherent sentence. It’s hardly a startling revelation that South Africa is host to extreme economic disparity, and we don’t need a opportunist bigot, motivated by financial expediency and a glaring ostensible concern for the plight of the poor, to state the obvious.
To the black man, Malema represents a figure of imperial defiance and to which the hopes and dreams of economic emancipation are pinned. If only they could see what is evidently staring them in the face. Malema is the very embodiment of all that stands in the way of economic emancipation. To envisage the root cause for poverty as its solution is stupidity in practice. If you really want to know why Africa is the epicenter of human misery look no further than Julias Malema’s R250 000 Bruitling watch. There is no clearer axiom. Malema has the future perfectly mapped out, I assure you. He will be following in the footsteps of many that have trampled on vain and distant hopes en masse, only to retire to some rogue state offering him exile, once the looting and thievery has run its course.
Let it be said, there is a manicured white portion, a bit too smug, rather too over satisfied with their lot. This ilk, driving the 1994 model BMW at the time of our first democratic election, now drive the 2013 model BMW, after building their wealth on the backs of an entire black population. This cant sit well. They worked for it they protest, and surely they did, they also had opportunity that was denied to others. Moreover it is the white male, in their 30’s and younger, that must bear the full brunt of Apartheid’s crimes. White females to a lesser degree. Hence the cycle of discrimination only perpetuates. And we are now left with capitalism, or so they call it.
The reductionist charge of land and house theft attributed to whites; daily recycled in township circles, is of no help here. However, we cannot dismiss the urgency for a dramatic change in wealth distribution. The brethren have proven time and time again that it is the idea of communism that so appeals to them, but the actual practice of it, no this is where a line is drawn. Malema seemingly suffers from a disorder of multiple personalities, the one declares a fetish and nostalgia for communism and without warning transforms into a seething capitalist when away from a camera and microphone, all the while raving unabated of the evils of white capitalism.
Ordinary citizens of South Africa have to study, labour and sweat in a cut throat economy, pitted against increasing discrimination and adversity, while filthy parasites like Malema fatten their waists, devouring the bottomless coffers of corruption.
I am of the firm belief that the existence of living sewage that takes form in what we know as Malema and comrades of like mind, necessitates the restoration of the Roman crucifixion as a means of shortening the life span of such parasites. Outlawed by the Romans for it’s cruelty, its relevance for reinstatement now justified for depths of criminal depravity previously unknown and without precedent.
